August 2025 - Update on Important Delivery Changes

CEPT and YLPT

Metrica downtime schedule 2025

  • Wednesday 8 October
  • Wednesday 10 December

The downtime on 8 October is planned between 08:00 to 16.00 (UK time). This is an extended downtime. Please do not plan any testing between the downtime hours.

Update on important delivery changes to CEPT and YLPT

Further to our previous communications, we are writing to inform you about the following changes being introduced with the Metrica downtime on 8 October 2025.

As detailed previously, new single session management will be introduced for new Linguaskill and the Cambridge English Skills Test. This new functionality will not directly change the session management for CEPT and YLPT, but it will have some indirect changes as follows:

  • All planned and open sessions in the "active" tab will be closed and moved to the "complete" tab. Please do not add any sessions or make any entries for tests for sessions after 8 October.
  • From 9 October you can create sessions and upload entries.
  • New entry logins will be required for entries from 9 October as the 10-digit entry code will be removed. Login credentials from 9 October will consist of a Username, Password and Institutional ID. The ability to generate generic login credentials for a set number of candidates is being developed.
  • Credits currently in pending, which is where an entry has been assigned to a session but the test was not taken, will be moved back to available in your account. This includes any credits in pending with clients. Please note that pending credits with clients will be moved back to your main account.
  • We recommend recalling any test credits with clients before 8 October.
  • We recommend generating the Test Availability report, under Results and Reports, before 8 October so you have a record of all pending credits with clients.
  • You can set up sessions and add entries using the 10-digit entry code until 7 October.

We will keep you updated as we approach the planned Metrica downtime on 8 October.
