Supporting every teacher – learning doesn’t have to stop
The spread of COVID-19 around the world is having an impact on education, and we are aware that our centres and schools in some places have had to close temporarily. Unfortunately, this will also mean that in those affected areas some exams have had to be postponed. We want to reassure you that we are making arrangements to ensure that candidates can take their exams as quickly as possible once restrictions are lifted.
In the meantime, we are committed to supporting our exam centres, schools, teachers and learners to carry on learning English and preparing for their qualifications.
Learn to teach English online
We are offering teachers the opportunity to join our free Teaching English Online course. During the 4-week course teachers will learn how to plan and deliver effective online English lessons.
Teachers can learn how to adapt their face-to-face teaching skills to an online environment and gain insights from online teachers and trainers, plus share ideas with other participants.
Whether you teach young learners, teenagers or both, we have a range of useful resources you can use to improve their English and prepare them for their Cambridge English Qualifications.
Young learner resources
Try using our Sing and Learn videos in class to help young learners practise and remember new vocabulary.
We also have lots of interactive activities for children to try using either a desktop computer or tablet.
Encourage your older learners to join our Facebook community, which has over 6 million learners and features fun tips and activities. They can use Learning English, which has over 80 free learning activities based on the English skills they would like to practise.
Would you like to try different ways of using practice tests in class?
Discover new practice test lesson plans for A2 Key and B1 Preliminary from Practice Makes Perfect. Help develop your learners’ English skills and find engaging new ways of using practice tests in the classroom. Each lesson plan includes part of an official practice test, a guide to using the material and resources.
Are you looking for a fun game that inspires young learners to practise their English? Discover our flashcards for Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers and A2 Flyers.
These flashcards come with activities including bingo, pairs or guessing games, and you can adapt each game so your students can work in groups or individually.
